5 ILCS 460/87 new
    Amends the State Designations Act. Designates the Eastern Milksnake as the official State snake of the State of Illinois.

1     AN ACT concerning snakes.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The State Designations Act is amended by adding
5 Section 87 as follows:

6     (5 ILCS 460/87 new)
7     Sec. 87. State snake. The reptile Lampropeltis triangulum
8 triangulum, commonly known as the "Eastern Milksnake", is
9 designated the official State snake of the State of Illinois.
