AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2981

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2981 on page 27, immediately below line 21, by inserting the following:

"Section 58. Disadvantaged business enterprise liaison. The Office of Business and Workforce Diversity established under Section 2705-593 of the Department of Transportation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois shall retain a staff member or consultant to act as a liaison for outreach, monitoring, and compliance with the Department's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program consistent with all applicable federal rules governing the disadvantaged business enterprise process. The liaison shall also help determine attainable goals for projects using new project delivery procurement methods.

The liaison shall publish a quarterly report regarding projects sourced through new procurement methods that includes utilization goals and utilization achieved.".
