SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James Kevin Casey of Algonquin, who
4passed away on August 7, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Casey was born to Alphonsus Burke and Irene
6Gertrude (Hefferman) Casey in Flushing, New York on July 28,
71932; he married Constance Ann Cain on August 2, 1952; and
 
8    WHEREAS, James Casey was a proud member of International
9Union of Operating Engineers Local 150; and
 
10    WHEREAS, James Casey was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago
11Cubs fan; he enjoyed bowling and loved life, especially
12spending time with his grandchildren; and
 
13    WHEREAS, James Casey was preceded in death by his parents;
14his sisters, Patricia Hatfield, Sharon Weimar, and Mary Louise
15Nolan; and his brother, John Casey; and
 
16    WHEREAS, James Casey is survived by his beloved wife of 69
17years, Constance Ann Casey; his loving sons, James Kevin Casey
18Jr. and Richard (Christine) Casey; his grandchildren, Jessica
19(Michael) Morrison, Nicole Casey, James Kevin Casey III,
20Patricia Casey (Andrew Slythe), and Elizabeth (Joseph) Vietri;

1his six great-grandchildren; his sister, Clare Phillips; and
2his brother, Robert (Donna) Casey; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5James Kevin Casey and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of James Casey as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
