| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Donald Lee "Don" Jaques Jr. of Moline, | 4 | | who passed away on June 23, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Don Jaques was born to Donald Lee Sr. and Marion | 6 | | Joyce (Pearsall) Jaques in Moline on April 24, 1948; he served | 7 | | in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple | 8 | | Heart and Combat Infantryman Badge among other commendations; | 9 | | and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Don Jaques was a hair stylist for over 30 years, | 11 | | most notably working at the Bear's Den in Rock Island; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Don Jaques enjoyed playing darts and golfing; he | 13 | | loved music, and he played guitarrums and traveled with a band | 14 | | for several years; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Don Jaques was preceded in death by his parents; | 16 | | and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Don Jaques is survived by his children, Paul | 18 | | Jaques, Keven Jaques, Sheena Marie Jaques, and Zackery Jaques; | 19 | | his 11 grandchildren; his great-grandson; and his siblings, | 20 | | Lona Jaques, Rick (Vickie) Comins, and Jimmy (Marion) Comins; |

| 2 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 3 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 4 | | Donald Lee "Don" Jaques Jr. and extend our sincere condolences | 5 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 6 | | it further
| 7 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 8 | | presented to the family of Don Jaques as an expression of our | 9 | | deepest sympathy.
