| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Everett R. Olive of Reynolds, who | 4 | | passed away on August 7, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Everett Olive was born to George and Mildred | 6 | | Ariel Jones Olive in Oskaloosa, Iowa on February 9, 1944; he | 7 | | served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam; he married | 8 | | Michelle Blundell in Rock Island on April 19, 1980; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Everett Olive was a supervisor for various | 10 | | foundries in the area for many years; he retired from the Rock | 11 | | Island Arsenal after 25 years of service; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Everett Olive attended the United Methodist | 13 | | Church in Reynolds; he had a passion for cars and trucks and | 14 | | was a member of the Studebaker Club; he enjoyed reading, | 15 | | solving puzzles, dancing, and dirt track open wheel racing; | 16 | | and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Everett Olive was preceded in death by his | 18 | | parents and his brothers, Ross, Robert, and Richard Olive; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Everett Olive is survived by his wife, Michelle | 20 | | Olive; his children, Tina (Gary) Kudlack, Stan (Heather) |
