| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Marillyn Rosalie (Wright) Wilson of | 4 | | Milan, who passed away on October 26, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson was born on September 30, 1922; | 6 | | she graduated from Moline High School in 1940; after high | 7 | | school, she enlisted in the Women Accepted for Volunteer | 8 | | Emergency Service (WAVES) of the U.S. Navy, where she served | 9 | | for 18 months while stationed in Washington D.C.; she married | 10 | | Gerald "Gay" Wilson on July 20, 1946, and he preceded her in | 11 | | death on May 10, 2004; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson worked as a secretary for several | 13 | | companies, retiring from the Q.C. Electrical Contractors | 14 | | Association; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson was a member of the Pythian | 16 | | Sisters and Trinity United Methodist Church of Milan; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson's greatest pleasure was spending | 18 | | time with her family, and they recently celebrated her 100th | 19 | | birthday; she also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson was preceded in death by her |

| 1 | | husband of 58 years; her parents, Cecil and Cora Wright; her | 2 | | sisters, Alyce Epperson and Marlene Souder; and her | 3 | | step-granddaughter, Crystal Newman; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Marillyn Wilson is survived by her son, Timothy | 5 | | (Theresa) Wilson; her daughters, Lucinda (Robert) Willhite and | 6 | | Jerilyn (Ron) Johnson; her grandchildren, Tyler (Haley) | 7 | | Willhite, Grady Johnson, and Tessa (Alex) Karwath; her | 8 | | step-granddaughter, Emerald Johnson; her great-grandchildren, | 9 | | Tarique Newman and Naseem Newman; and her numerous nieces and | 10 | | nephews; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Marillyn Rosalie (Wright) Wilson and extend our sincere | 14 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 15 | | her; and be it further
