AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 303

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 303, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1, as follows:

on page 1, line 4, after "by", by inserting "changing Section 34-18.69 and by"; and

on page 1, immediately below line 5, by inserting the following:

"(105 ILCS 5/34-18.69)

Sec. 34-18.69. Moratorium on school closings, consolidations, and phase-outs. The Board shall not approve any school closings, consolidations, or phase-outs until February 1, 2027 the Board of Education is seated on January 15, 2025.

on page 1, lines 7 and 8, by deleting "moratorium on closures,"; and

on page 2, line 3, by replacing "(c)" with "(b)".
