| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Jacksonville Middle | 4 | | School 8th grade boys track team, the Crimsons, on their | 5 | | accomplishments at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School | 6 | | Association (IESA) Class 4A 8th Grade Boys State Track and | 7 | | Field Meet; and | 8 | | WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team finished | 9 | | first in the 4x100m relay with a time of 45.74 seconds, a | 10 | | Jacksonville Middle School record; and | 11 | | WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team also | 12 | | placed second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3 minutes and | 13 | | 40.07 seconds; and | 14 | | WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team had | 15 | | several achievements in individual events as well, including | 16 | | Darren Henry and Wyatt Moore placing first and second in the | 17 | | high jump event, respectively, Darren Henry placing second in | 18 | | long jump, and Jeremiah Jackson placing second in the 110m | 19 | | hurdles; and | 20 | | WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team includes | 21 | | Jason Brown, Calvin Gause, Riley Hagar, Darren Henry, Jeremiah |

| 1 | | Jackson, Brock Meyer, Wyatt Moore, Ryan Reese, and Carvell | 2 | | Stephens; and | 3 | | WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team is led by | 4 | | Coach Leon Clinton; therefore, be it | 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 6 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 7 | | we congratulate the Jacksonville Middle School 8th grade boys | 8 | | track team, the Crimsons, on their accomplishments at the 2024 | 9 | | Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 4A 8th | 10 | | Grade Boys State Track and Field Meet, and we wish them | 11 | | continued success in the future; and be it further | 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the Jacksonville Middle School 8th grade boys | 14 | | track team as an expression of our esteem and respect. |
