| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to | 3 | | congratulate Jim Reuter on the occasion of his retirement as | 4 | | executive director of the Carol Stream Park District; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Reuter has dedicated nearly 40 years of his | 6 | | life to the parks and recreation industry, making significant | 7 | | contributions to the communities he has served; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jim Reuter, as the executive director of the | 9 | | Carol Stream Park District, has demonstrated exceptional | 10 | | leadership, commitment, and expertise in promoting recreation | 11 | | and enhancing the quality of life for residents; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jim Reuter has played a pivotal role in several | 13 | | projects, including the establishment of the Veterans Memorial | 14 | | Plaza, which brought together veterans, village leaders, and | 15 | | community members to create a lasting tribute to military | 16 | | service; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jim Reuter has successfully secured grants | 18 | | totaling $1,754,996, which have supported numerous projects | 19 | | and renovations within the Carol Stream Park District, | 20 | | enhancing recreational facilities and experiences for the | 21 | | community; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jim Reuter has displayed an unwavering commitment | 2 | | to the Carol Stream Park District, which has been instrumental | 3 | | in its continued growth and success, leaving a lasting impact | 4 | | on the lives of countless individuals; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Through his positive demeanor, genuine care for | 6 | | others, and dedication to serving the community, Jim Reuter | 7 | | has earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues, board | 8 | | members, and the residents of Carol Stream; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jim Reuter's retirement marks the end of an era | 10 | | for the Carol Stream Park District, and his departure will be | 11 | | deeply felt by all who have had the privilege of working | 12 | | alongside him; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jim Reuter has expressed his intention to | 14 | | continue his volunteer work with Advocate Sherman Hospital in | 15 | | Elgin and to continue serving as chairman of the Elgin Parks | 16 | | and Recreation Foundation, further demonstrating his | 17 | | dedication to the betterment of the community; therefore, be | 18 | | it
