| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Barry A. Huson of Springfield, who | 4 | | passed away on September 20, 2023; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Barry Huson was born to Charles A. and Velma L. | 6 | | Hunt Huson on April 25, 1949; he graduated from Springfield | 7 | | High School in 1967; he attended Illinois Wesleyan University | 8 | | and Arizona State University; he married Janice L. Arnett on | 9 | | October 9, 1976; and | 10 | | WHEREAS, Barry Huson was a land surveyor and an | 11 | | accomplished bowyer; he was also a self-employed furniture | 12 | | designer and master woodworker; and | 13 | | WHEREAS, Barry Huson was a proud member of the Abraham | 14 | | Lincoln and Left Handers Gun Clubs; and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Barry Huson enjoyed training and working with his | 16 | | horses, Ladybug and Cruz; he also enjoyed serving as a mentor | 17 | | to many young horse riders; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Barry Huson was known as a true Renaissance man | 19 | | who lived by a code and a philosophy not often found today, and | 20 | | he worked to preserve many things he loved from the past, |

| 1 | | perfecting the art of making furniture and recurve bows; he | 2 | | felt at home in nature and loved taking yearly trips with his | 3 | | family to Michigan and Missouri; he will be remembered for | 4 | | living his life with passion and pride in everything he did; | 5 | | and | 6 | | WHEREAS, Barry Huson was preceded in death by his father; | 7 | | and | 8 | | WHEREAS, Barry Huson is survived by his wife; his son, | 9 | | Cody A. Huson; his mother; his sister, Connie (Richard) | 10 | | Steudel; his niece, Rachel (Nathan) Harness; his nephew, | 11 | | Daniel Steudel; several cousins; his granddog, Abby; and his | 12 | | horse, Cruz; therefore, be it | 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 15 | | Barry A. Huson and extend our sincere condolences to his | 16 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 17 | | further | 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 19 | | presented to the family of Barry Huson as an expression of our | 20 | | deepest sympathy. |
