SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Christopher L. "Chris" Neff of East Peoria, who passed away on October 23, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Chris Neff was born to Michael Neff Sr. and Debby Neff in Peoria on January 17, 1974; he graduated from Woodruff High School in 1992; he married Tiffany Rainey in Groveland on July 2, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Chris Neff worked in construction for United Contractors Midwest and was a member of Laborers' Local Union #165 for 27 years; and

WHEREAS, Chris Neff was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers; he loved dogs, especially his own; he also enjoyed making everyone laugh and smile, playing jokes on people, and sharing his positivity everywhere he went; and

WHEREAS, Chris Neff was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Reynolds; and

WHEREAS, Chris Neff is survived by his wife; his parents; his brother, Michael (Kristi) Neff Jr.; his sister, Michelle (Russ) Neff-Fisher; his children, Christopher, Sadie, Skylar, Aaliyah, Zay, Marcus, Matthew, Brent, Giovanna, Eddie, Josh, Ron, Angie, and Amy; and eight grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Christopher L. "Chris" Neff and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chris Neff as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
