| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Thomas Blenner, who passed away on | 4 | | December 3, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was born on September 9, 1951 in | 6 | | Libertyville; his parents were William and Lois (nee Fuller) | 7 | | Blenner; he married Peggy DeWane on May 8, 1982 in Woodstock; | 8 | | and | 9 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was the president and owner of | 10 | | Blenner Insurance Agency in Arlington Heights; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was an active member of many | 12 | | professional organizations; he was also a member of Our Lady of | 13 | | the Wayside Catholic Church in Arlington Heights; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was an avid sports fan and a | 15 | | diehard Chicago Cubs fan; he also coached soccer, | 16 | | cross-country, and basketball at Marian Central Catholic High | 17 | | School in Woodstock, Our Lady of the Wayside School in | 18 | | Arlington Heights, the Arlington Heights Youth Basketball | 19 | | Association, and numerous club teams, including the Arlington | 20 | | Aces Travel Team, the Green White Travel Team, and the | 21 | | Northwest Basketball Association; he also served as the |

| 1 | | Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Saint Viator High | 2 | | School in Arlington Heights; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was preceded in death by a | 4 | | daughter, Megan; his parents; a brother, Joseph Blenner; and | 5 | | his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Arlene | 6 | | DeWane; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner is survived by his wife, Peggy; 2 | 8 | | daughters, Kelly Blenner and Jamie Blenner; 3 siblings, William | 9 | | (Nelva) Blenner, Susan (Edward Teter) Blenner, and Ann (Carson) | 10 | | Anderson; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
