| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mark A. Jasper of Davenport, formerly of | 4 | | Rock Island, who passed away on January 7, 2017 at the age of | 5 | | 64; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Mark Jasper was born in Rock Island to Malvern and | 7 | | Frances Reinhart Jasper on October 13, 1952; he graduated from | 8 | | Alleman High School in 1970; following high school, he served | 9 | | in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam; following his | 10 | | service in the Marines, he later served in the United States | 11 | | Navy Reserve; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Mark Jasper was a firefighter for the city of | 13 | | Davenport from 1994 until his retirement in 2011; he enjoyed | 14 | | spending time outdoors, collecting antiques, and oriental art; | 15 | | he loved caring for his dogs and volunteered at area animal | 16 | | shelters; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Mark Jasper was preceded in death by his father | 18 | | and two brothers, Greg and Brian Jasper; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Mark Jasper is survived by his children from his | 20 | | long marriage to Debbie Schaecher, Andrea Jasper and Aaron | 21 | | (Christy) Jasper; his grandchildren, Emma, Brooklyn, and Brody |

| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 6 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Mark A. Jasper, and | 7 | | extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all | 8 | | who knew and loved him; and be it further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 | | presented to the family of Mark Jasper as an expression of our | 11 | | deepest sympathy.
