| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Donald N. Tures of Manhattan, who passed | 4 | | away on December 29, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Donald Tures graduated from Joliet Catholic High | 6 | | School in 1950 and from Lewis University; he was a Sergeant | 7 | | with the United States Army Artillery Division during the | 8 | | Korean Conflict; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Donald Tures was the owner of Tures Nursery in | 10 | | Peotone for many years; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Donald Tures was a member of Peotone American | 12 | | Legion Post 392, Manhattan American Legion Post 935 Honor | 13 | | Guard, and VFW Post 9545; he was also a member of the Will | 14 | | County Farm Bureau; he was a devout member of St. Joseph | 15 | | Catholic Church in Manhattan, where he attended mass daily and | 16 | | was a member of the Men's Club; he was a husband, father, and | 17 | | grandfather who will be missed; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Donald Tures was preceded in death by his parents, | 19 | | Nicholas and Margaret (Allare) Tures; his sister, Geraldine | 20 | | (Richard) Gollick; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Angela | 21 | | Chmielewski; his brother-in-law, Albert Naal Jr; and his |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Donald Tures is survived by his wife of 61 years, | 3 | | Phyllis (Chmielewski) Tures; his children, Stephen (Julia) | 4 | | Tures, Joseph (Christine) Tures, Robert (Patricia) Tures, | 5 | | Matthew (Monica) Tures, and Dana (Jeffrey) Brandau; his | 6 | | grandchildren, Shelby, Catherine, Stephen, Nicholas, Lauren, | 7 | | and Madeline; his sister, Frances Naal; his brother-in-law, | 8 | | Robert Chmielewski; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be | 9 | | it
