| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of Marie Aurelia Broderick Sisolak of | 4 |
| Waukegan, who passed away on January 20, 2009; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born July 1, 1918, in St. Louis, Missouri, | 6 |
| to Richard and Zoie Dorsett Broderick; Marie was a lifelong | 7 |
| Waukegan resident, where she lived with her husband of 69 | 8 |
| years, Joe Sisolak; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She was a descendant of the pioneer Dorsett Family | 10 |
| of Waukegan; she was a member of St. Anastasia Parish, Life | 11 |
| Master Bridge Player, and an avid golfer; she was a member of | 12 |
| the Bonnie Brook Ladies Golf Association since 1946, and she | 13 |
| had won 48 golf championships in her lifetime; and
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Marie and her husband volunteered for 52 years | 15 |
| with the Swing Club at Downey Veterans Hospital in North | 16 |
| Chicago where the golf course was named in their honor, the Joe | 17 |
| and Marie Sisolak Golf Course; she taught juniors ages four | 18 |
| through college how to play golf at the First Tee Program at | 19 |
| Foss Park Golf Course; and
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Marie is survived by her husband, Joe Sisolak; her | 21 |
| sons, Tom Sisolak and wife, Jane, and Bill Sisolak and wife, |

| Vira; her grandchildren, Mary Beth Sisolak Wagner and husband, | 2 |
| Dale, Michael Sisolak and wife, Ilyse, and Brian Sisolak and | 3 |
| fiance, Ericka Bolinger; her great-granddaughter, Zoie | 4 |
| Sisolak; and her many nieces and nephews and loving friends; | 5 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | 7 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 8 |
| her family and friends, the passing of Marie A. Sisolak; and be | 9 |
| it further
| 10 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 |
| presented to the family of Marie A. Sisolak as a symbol of our | 12 |
| sincere sympathy.
