| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the | 3 |
| State of Illinois learned with great sadness of the death in | 4 |
| Iraq of Corporal Nathaniel K. Moore, USMC, of Champaign on | 5 |
| Wednesday, January 26, 2005; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Corporal Moore was born on November 9, 1982, in | 7 |
| Urbana to Duane L. and Amber Ryba Moore; he was a former | 8 |
| student at Centennial High School, a graduate of Lincoln's | 9 |
| Challenge Academy in Rantoul, and his lifelong dream was to be | 10 |
| a member of the United States Marine Corps and serve his | 11 |
| country; and
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He earned his GED prior to graduation, because he | 13 |
| knew it was a requirement for enlistment; he is remembered as | 14 |
| cooperative and always willing to go the extra mile; he enjoyed | 15 |
| gymnastics and baseball, and was known for his red hair; and | 16 |
| WHEREAS, Corporal Moore was assigned to the 1st Battalion, | 17 |
| 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine | 18 |
| Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii; prior to active | 19 |
| duty, he served as a military police officer; and
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Corporal Nathaniel K. Moore, USMC, | 21 |
| has been deeply felt by many, especially his parents, Duane and | 22 |
| Amber Moore; his sister, Amanda J. Moore; his grandparents, | 23 |
| Ret. Msg. Sgt. Donald Ryba, Shirley Ryba, Sally Dickson, and | 24 |
| Cliff K. Moore; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 26 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 27 |
| we mourn the passing of Corporal Nathaniel K. Moore, USMC, and | 28 |
| we extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all | 29 |
| who knew and loved him; and be it further |

| RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Corporal Moore and | 2 |
| his willingness to serve our country which led to him making | 3 |
| the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 5 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our sincere | 6 |
| condolences for their loss.
