| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Ludwig L. "Vic" Bollero of Lockport, who | 4 | | passed away on February 3, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero was born in South Wilmington; his | 6 | | parents were Louis and Catrina Bollero; he was a resident of | 7 | | Lockport for most of his life; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero graduated from Lockport Township | 9 | | High School in 1939; he served his country with pride as a | 10 | | member of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero served as an air traffic controller | 13 | | for many years; he was a member of numerous bank boards, the | 14 | | Will County Board, and the Lockport City Council; he also | 15 | | served as Treasurer of Lockport Township High School for 35 | 16 | | years; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Following his retirement, Ludwig Bollero served | 18 | | as a devoted starter/ranger at Springbrook Golf Course in | 19 | | Naperville; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero was a member of the American Legion |

| 1 | | Post #18, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5788, and Lockport | 2 | | Moose Lodge #1557; he was also a former member of the Lockport | 3 | | Rotary Club; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero was preceded in death by his | 5 | | daughter, Patricia (Henderson) Murphy; his parents; his | 6 | | sisters, Angelina Bolattino, Phyllis (Bolattino) Karstens, and | 7 | | Mary Bolattino; his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and | 8 | | Margaret Bolattino; and his nephew, Roger Bolattino; and | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero is survived by his loving and | 10 | | dedicated wife of 50 years, Veronica; his daughter, Donna | 11 | | (Henderson) Keenan; his grandchildren, Robert Murphy and | 12 | | Colleen, Chad, and Chris; and his nephew, Rolin (Patty) | 13 | | Bolattino; therefore, be it
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 16 | | his family and friends, the passing of Ludwig L. "Vic" Bollero; | 17 | | and be it further
