| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Michael J. Meier, who passed away on | 4 | | January 18, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Michael Meier was born in Woodstock to Harold and | 6 | | Marie Meier on March 28, 1941; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Michael Meier was a self-employed painter and | 8 | | decorator in the Crystal Lake area for over 50 years; he was a | 9 | | volunteer fireman with Crystal Lake Fire-Rescue for many years; | 10 | | and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Michael Meier coached his son, Scott, and | 12 | | grandson, Cameron, throughout their youth baseball years and | 13 | | enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play tennis; he | 14 | | enjoyed fishing, traveling, boating, watching wildlife, and | 15 | | spending time with his family; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Michael Meier was preceded in death by his parents | 17 | | and his sisters, Bonnie Meier, and Judy Albrecht; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Michael Meier is survived by his wife of 53 years, | 19 | | Mary Lou; his children, Conni (Jeff) Stinek, and Scott Meier; | 20 | | his grandchildren, Cameron and Kelsey Laktash; and his sister, |
