| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Jacksonville Middle | 4 | | School (JMS) cheer team on winning the 2023 Illinois | 5 | | Elementary School Association (IESA) Large Cheer division for | 6 | | the second consecutive year; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The JMS cheer team finished with a score of 95.5, | 8 | | the highest score on record in IESA history; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, The JMS cheer team also placed third in the | 10 | | Medium Routine division at this year's competition, making it | 11 | | one of the most decorated cheer squads in the State; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, In January 2023, the JMS cheer team won the | 13 | | Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association state championships | 14 | | in both the Medium Routine division and the Game Day division, | 15 | | showcasing the talent and determination of the team members; | 16 | | and | 17 | | WHEREAS, The members of the JMS cheer team are eighth | 18 | | graders Julia Adams, Jaycee Bates, Mia Frye, Kolby Hoffman, | 19 | | Lydia Keefe, Elizabeth Saxer, Alivia Swift, and Sophia Withee, | 20 | | seventh graders Jaelie Harp and Josie Meggison, and sixth | 21 | | graders Edith Bryson-Adams, Chloe Colen, Ella Chumley, Madi |

| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 9 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 10 | | we congratulate the Jacksonville Middle School cheer team on | 11 | | winning the 2023 Illinois Elementary School Association Large | 12 | | Cheer division, placing second in the Medium Routine division, | 13 | | and winning the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association | 14 | | state championships in both the Medium Routine division and | 15 | | the Game Day division; and be it further
