| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William L. "Bill" Zellman of | 4 | | Jacksonville, who passed away on January 13, 2017 at the age of | 5 | | 87; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, William Zellman was born in Paris to William and | 7 | | Gladys Anderson Zellman on November 3, 1929; he was a proud | 8 | | alumnus of Jacksonville High School Class of 1947; he was | 9 | | drafted into the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 and was | 10 | | an Atomic Veteran; he married Barbara A. Bieber in Jacksonville | 11 | | on November 12, 1950; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, William Zellman worked at General Telephone | 13 | | Company for over 40 years, serving locations in Jacksonville, | 14 | | Pittsfield, and Carlinville; he was a past member of the | 15 | | Jacksonville Jaycees and Harmony Masonic Lodge 3, past | 16 | | president and active member of the Jacksonville Lions Club, and | 17 | | an active member of Grace United Methodist Church; he was a | 18 | | talented woodworker, and enjoyed traveling, his dogs, planning | 19 | | his high school reunions, and being outdoors; he loved his | 20 | | family unconditionally; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, William Zellman was preceded in death by his | 22 | | father, William Zellman; his mother, Gladys Price; and his |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, William Zellman is survived by his wife, Barbara; | 3 | | his three children, Candy (Bill) Derks, Bill (Donna-Lou), and | 4 | | Amy (Mike) McHan; four grandchildren, Mary Ann (Todd) Henry, | 5 | | Andy (Brandi) Derks, and Delilah and Lauren McHan; his four | 6 | | great-grandchildren, Katie, Josh, Maddie, and Drew; and | 7 | | several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | William L. "Bill" Zellman, and extend our sincere condolences | 11 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 12 | | it further
