| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James Lee Walker Jr., who passed away on | 4 | | March 1, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Walker Jr. was born on June 13, 1938, in | 6 | | Evarts, Kentucky, to James Lee Walker Sr. and Martha Lee | 7 | | (Pinkard) Walker; he attended Closplint Elementary School in | 8 | | Closplint, Kentucky, and Rosenwald High School in Harlan, | 9 | | Kentucky; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, James Walker Jr. worked at Johns Manville for over | 11 | | 10 years; he opened his own business in Waukegan, Walker's Auto | 12 | | Repair, and ran it for over 40 years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, James Walker Jr. owned and raced a car famously | 14 | | known as the "Lively Ford"; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, James Walker Jr. was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents; his brothers, H.L., John, and Howard; his sister, | 17 | | Francene; and his niece, Theresa; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, James Walker Jr. is survived by his daughters, | 19 | | Tina and Tracy; his sons, James III and Dejon; his | 20 | | granddaughter, Jasmine; his sisters, Loretta Pleas, Irene |
