| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Everett A. Manning of Rock Island, who | 4 | | passed away on February 18, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Everett Manning was born in Andover to Floyd and | 6 | | Elizabeth (Wilburn) Manning on July 28, 1933; he married Norma | 7 | | DeCommer at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on September 29, 1956; | 8 | | he proudly served in the United States Army; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Everett Manning retired from Alcoa in 1983; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Everett Manning was a member of St. Pius X | 11 | | Catholic Church, where he served as a lector, a lector | 12 | | coordinator, a eucharistic minister, a member of the choir, a | 13 | | liturgical life member, and a member of the parish council; he | 14 | | was a member of the Allouez Council 658 Knights of Columbus, | 15 | | the Edward J. Bader Assembly of Fourth Degree Knights of | 16 | | Columbus, and the Moline American Legion Post 246; he enjoyed | 17 | | fishing, golfing, camping, woodworking, corny jokes, and | 18 | | sports; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Everett Manning was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents; his brothers, Cleo, Leo, Bernard, and Eugene Manning; | 21 | | his sister, Eileen Leaf, and his granddaughter, Rachel Wiese; |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Everett Manning is survived by his wife, Norma; | 3 | | his children, Greg (Marti) Manning, Paula Maddox, Therese | 4 | | (Merle) Wiese, Shawn (Karen) Manning, and Kelan (Lori) Manning; | 5 | | his 15 grandchildren; and his 18 great-grandchildren; | 6 | | therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Everett A. Manning and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
