| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Lois M. Le Menager of Lake Forest, who | 4 | | passed away on December 28, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lois Le Menager was born in Cleveland, Ohio to | 6 | | Lawrence and Lillian Stanek on April 25, 1934; and | 7 | | WHEREAS, In 1978, Lois Le Menager founded Marketing | 8 | | Innovators International, Inc. in Rosemont, which remains one | 9 | | of the largest woman-owned businesses in the country and one of | 10 | | Chicago's largest private firms; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Lois Le Menager received numerous awards from | 12 | | organizations such as the Entrepreneur of the Year Institute, | 13 | | the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame, and the American Institute | 14 | | of Entrepreneurs; other recognitions include Crain's Chicago | 15 | | Business - Chicago's Top Women-Owned Firms, Who's Who in | 16 | | Chicago Business, America's Top 500 Women-Owned Businesses, | 17 | | and Working Woman Magazine; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Lois Le Menager served on the Board of Junior | 19 | | Achievement; she donated land to the Boys and Girls Club of | 20 | | America and was an early member of the Women Business | 21 | | Development Center and the Chicago Network; she participated in |

| 1 | | many travel and incentive industry associations; she served as | 2 | | a director for Northwest Commerce and First Colonial Banks for | 3 | | 10 years, and is a past director of the Chicagoland Chamber of | 4 | | Commerce; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Lois Le Menager was an outstanding cook, a | 6 | | painter, a writer of poems, a gifted counselor to kids, and a | 7 | | mentor to young business people; she had a passion for the | 8 | | military, devoting her time and resources to those who have | 9 | | served and continue to serve; she actively supported the | 10 | | Wounded Warrior Project and helped with donations to build The | 11 | | National World War II Museum in New Orleans; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Lois Le Menager was enormously proud of her | 13 | | Czechoslovakian heritage; her hobbies included being a | 14 | | "professional shopper" and beating the odds at the slot | 15 | | machines; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Lois Le Menager was the devoted wife of Spencer H. | 17 | | Le Menager; the loving mother of Richard (Jill) Blabolil, and | 18 | | Sherry Blabolil-Das; the caring grandmother of Meghan (Ben) | 19 | | Jarvis, Sumeer Das, Molly Blabolil, Courtney Das, Emily | 20 | | Blabolil, and Abby Blabolil; and the delighted | 21 | | great-grandmother of Charlie Jack Jarvis; therefore, be it
