| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Lytle Leo George of Edwardsville, who | 4 | | passed away on February 14, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lytle George was born in Sullivan, Missouri to | 6 | | Lytle Jackson and Ollie (Springer) George on June 25, 1920; he | 7 | | served as a flight instructor for the United States Navy from | 8 | | 1942 to 1945 and married Helen Jane Hussman in Sullivan on | 9 | | February 22, 1946; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Lytle George worked first as a conservation agent | 11 | | for the Missouri Department of Conservation in Milan, Missouri, | 12 | | and later as assistant superintendent at the Busch Wildlife | 13 | | Refuge at Weldon Springs, Missouri; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Lytle George had a love for the outdoors; he | 15 | | became the manager at Nilo Farms, the preeminent private | 16 | | shooting preserve near Brighton, where he hosted thousands of | 17 | | guests, including captains of industry, government leaders, | 18 | | and celebrities from the sports and entertainment worlds; he | 19 | | was an avid gardener, fisherman, and fan of the St. Louis | 20 | | Cardinals; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Lytle George was preceded in death by his wife, |

| 1 | | Helen; his sister, Oleta (George) Walker; and his brother, | 2 | | Robert Dean George; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Lytle George is survived by his daughter, Mary | 4 | | Susan (James Michael) Featherstun; his son, John David (Beverly | 5 | | Kay) George; his granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth (Terry) | 6 | | George-Waterfield; his brother, James Springer George; and | 7 | | numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Lytle Leo George, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 | | presented to the family of Lytle George as an expression of our | 15 | | deepest sympathy.
