| SENATE RESOLUTION
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of Ernest Dicig of Winthrop Harbor, formerly | 4 |
| of Waukegan, who recently passed away; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Ernest Dicig and his wife Kay were married 60 | 6 |
| years and valued their friendships and family greatly; and
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Ernie Dicig was a dedicated employee of the US | 8 |
| Steel Mill in Waukegan for over 20 years; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, In the late 1970s Ernest Dicig served as Alderman | 10 |
| for the Fifth Ward in Waukegan, as well as an assessor for | 11 |
| Waukegan Township and Supervisor of Building and Grounds for | 12 |
| the City of Waukegan; on his retirement, Ernest Dicig and Kay | 13 |
| moved to Winthrop Harbor, where Ernie continued working at | 14 |
| Leader Hardware in Zion; and

| WHEREAS, Ernest Dicig was preceded in death by his loving | 16 |
| wife, Kathryn; and
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Ernest Dicig was the loving father of Katie | 18 |
| Brookler-Shupe, Ann Scott, Mary Dicig, and Julie Dicig; the | 19 |
| friend and grandfather to Rob Scott, Jennifer Scott-Brown, and | 20 |
| Samantha Shoumake; and the great-grandfather to Sophia Scott, |

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL | 3 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 4 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Ernest Dicig; and be it | 5 |
| further
| 6 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 7 |
| presented to the family of Ernest Dicig as a symbol of our | 8 |
| sympathy.
