| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of
George J. Weakley of Grayslake, formerly | 4 | | of Lindenhurst and North Chicago, who passed away on April 11, | 5 | | 2011; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, George Weakley was born on November 24, 1925 in | 7 | | South Bend, Indiana; his parents were Michael and Eva Weakley; | 8 | | and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, George Weakley served his country with bravery and | 10 | | distinction as a member of the United States Army in France | 11 | | during World War II; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, George Weakley married his first wife, Cecile | 13 | | Serwa, in 1947; she passed away in January of 1990; together, | 14 | | they owned and operated Weakley's Quality Printing in North | 15 | | Chicago for 60 years; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, George Weakley was a member of the Holy Rosary | 17 | | Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, the | 18 | | American Legion, and Waukegan Moose Lodge #706; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, George Weakley was an avid stamp collector and | 20 | | golfer who loved taking trips to Florida; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, George Weakley was preceded in death by his | 2 | | parents and his first wife, Cecile; and | 3 | | WHEREAS, George Weakley is survived by his second wife, | 4 | | Beverly (Krumske); his daughters, Marilyn (Tom) Gregorin and | 5 | | Marcia (John) Jerina; his son, Michael (Cindy) Weakley; his | 6 | | grandchildren, Eric and Aimee Gregorin, Kelly and Kevin | 7 | | Weakley, and Kendall and Cameron Jerina; and his brothers, | 8 | | Donald (Julie) Weakley and Leo Brandon; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 11 | | his family and friends, the passing of George J. Weakley; and | 12 | | be it further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 | | presented to the family of George Weakley as an expression of | 15 | | our sympathy.
