| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of
Max D. Eldred of Chesterfield, who passed | 4 |
| away on June 14, 2007; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Max D. Eldred was born on October 9, 1938, in | 6 |
| Chesterfield; he is the son of James Melvin and Nelle Schuetz | 7 |
| Eldred; he married Polly Boydstun on September 23, 1966, in | 8 |
| Godfrey; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Max D. Eldred graduated from Carlinville High | 10 |
| School in 1956 and Eastern Illinois University in 1961, | 11 |
| majoring in botany and education; he did graduate work at the | 12 |
| University of Illinois; he taught science and physical | 13 |
| education and coached at North Junior High in Alton for 20 | 14 |
| years; he was a professional bird dog trainer and won numerous | 15 |
| Illinois Dog of the Year awards; he was a member of Carlinville | 16 |
| United Methodist Church, Field Trial Clubs of Illinois, Piasa | 17 |
| Pointer and Setter Club, Macoupin County Field Trial Club, and | 18 |
| Southwestern Field Trial Club; he judged and reported field | 19 |
| trial championships all over the Midwest; and
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Max D. Eldred was preceded in death by his | 21 |
| parents; and

| WHEREAS, Max D. Eldred is survived by his wife, Polly | 2 |
| Eldred; his sons, Jim (Kelly) Eldred and Jeff (Micah) Eldred; | 3 |
| his grandson, Max Eldred; his brother, Jon (Kate) Eldred; his | 4 |
| mother-in-law, Tish Butler; and his niece and nephew; | 5 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL | 7 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 8 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Max D. Eldred; and be it | 9 |
| further
| 10 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 |
| presented to the family of Max D. Eldred as an expression of | 12 |
| our sympathy.
