| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert Waldo "Bob" Frantz of Huntley, who | 4 | | passed away on November 14, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Frantz was born in Kansas City, Missouri on | 6 | | August 5, 1926 to Olna and Leita (nee Rhoads) Frantz; he | 7 | | married Ruth in 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri; he served in the | 8 | | United States Army; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bob Frantz worked for Motorola in microwave | 10 | | communications; he was a Roselle board member and was elected | 11 | | Mayor of Roselle in 1969; later, he was employed by Santa Fe | 12 | | Railroad and MCI; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bob Frantz had a longtime passion for private | 14 | | flying and owned 7 different airplanes at various times, most | 15 | | recently a Piper Arrow 6398C; he was proud to have received the | 16 | | FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award in 2013; his flying | 17 | | career included over 7,500 hours and Private, Commercial, | 18 | | Instrument, Seaplane, Multiengine, and ATP ratings; he flew all | 19 | | over the United States and to many other countries; he enjoyed | 20 | | long time active membership in the Northeast Pilots | 21 | | Association, the Illinois Pilots Association, and the United | 22 | | States Pilots Association; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bob Frantz was preceded in death by his son, | 2 | | Randall David Frantz, and his sisters, Mildred deVries, Dorothy | 3 | | (Joseph) Hawkins, and Marilyn Burke; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Bob Frantz is survived by his wife of 65 years, | 5 | | Ruth Ellen (Ellis) Frantz; his children, Margaret Gail (Chuck) | 6 | | Elmer, Robert Gregory Frantz, and Shirley Jean Frantz; his | 7 | | grandchildren, Matthias Elmer, Theodore Elmer, and Christopher | 8 | | Elmer; his brother-in-law, Albert (Donna) Ellis; and several | 9 | | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Robert Waldo "Bob" Frantz, and extend our sincere condolences | 13 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 14 | | it further
