| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Lovie Lee Wilson, who passed away on | 4 | | March 25, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lovie Wilson was born in Coffeeville, Mississippi | 6 | | to Harrison and Addie Rounsaville on May 10, 1928; she attended | 7 | | school in Mississippi; she committed to her faith at an early | 8 | | age at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Morgan City, Mississippi and | 9 | | later joined Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in | 10 | | Coffeeville, Mississippi; she married Robert Harris, and he | 11 | | preceded her in death; she later moved to Chicago and married | 12 | | Willie Wilson, and he preceded her in death; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Lovie Wilson was the only beautician in | 14 | | Coffeeville, Mississippi; she later managed a laundry facility | 15 | | for many years and retired in 1983; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, After moving to Chicago, Lovie Wilson joined the | 17 | | Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church; in 1985, she joined the Family | 18 | | Altar Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member and a | 19 | | dedicated bible class and Sunday school student and served as | 20 | | president of the Mother Board; she was an avid fan of the | 21 | | Chicago Cubs; she loved quartet singers and enjoyed working on | 22 | | crossword puzzles and playing solitaire; she was a dedicated |

| 1 | | mother who believed in education and hard work; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Lovie Wilson was preceded in death by her parents; | 3 | | her siblings; and her sons, Robert, Russell, and Randolph; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Lovie Wilson is survived by her daughter, Odessie | 5 | | Wilson; her daughters-in-law, Faye, Jolean, and Sherry; her 15 | 6 | | grandchildren; her 10 great-grandchildren; her five | 7 | | great-great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, | 8 | | cousins, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Lovie Lee Wilson and extend our sincere condolences to her | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 13 | | further
