| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Donald R. Pfau of Spring Grove, who | 4 | | passed away on February 3, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Donald Pfau was born in Mt. Vernon, New York on | 6 | | March 31, 1933 to Carl and Barbara (nee Lichtengger) Pfau; he | 7 | | married Martha Smith on September 11, 1954 in Cambria Heights, | 8 | | New York; he served as a Lieutenant Colonel with the United | 9 | | States Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Donald Pfau was a commercial airline pilot with | 11 | | United Airlines for 25 years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Donald Pfau was a member of the Masons; he was an | 13 | | avid hunter who was proud of his extensive gun collection; he | 14 | | enjoyed traveling, especially to Africa, and working on his | 15 | | farm; he also enjoyed spending time with his family and close | 16 | | friends; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Donald Pfau was preceded in death by his wife, | 18 | | Martha, and his sister, Barbara Brown; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Donald Pfau is survived by his 2 sons, Scott | 20 | | (Rose) Pfau and Douglas (Renee) Pfau; his 5 grandchildren, |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Donald R. Pfau, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Donald Pfau as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy.
