| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Magdalene Maria Dowe, who passed away on | 4 | | March 12, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Magdalene Dowe was born in Germany on September | 6 | | 13, 1939; she emigrated to the United States at the age of 20 | 7 | | and became a U.S. citizen; she married Eugene Dowe on February | 8 | | 24, 1962; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Magdalene Dowe worked at McHenry School District | 10 | | 15 as a teacher's aide; she retired after 38 years of dedicated | 11 | | service; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Magdalene Dowe was preceded in death by her | 13 | | husband of more than 50 years, Eugene; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Magdalene Dowe is survived by her daughters, | 15 | | Melissa (Anthony Jr.) Pintozzi, Giselle (Warren) Anderson, and | 16 | | Renee Dowe; her grandchildren, Joseph (Erin) Pintozzi, Mary | 17 | | (Luke) Naidicz, Olivia Pintozzi, and Annalise and Oliver | 18 | | Anderson; and her sisters, Erika (Heinz) Gross, Gisela (Klaus) | 19 | | Mickert, and Linda (Roger) Beu; therefore, be it
