| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Pam Davis on her | 4 | | 25th anniversary as president and CEO of Edward Hospital in | 5 | | Naperville; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Pam Davis's time at the helm of Edward Hospital | 7 | | has seen the hospital experience an era of dramatic growth and | 8 | | innovation; it has reached nearly $600 million in annual | 9 | | revenue and has become the 9th largest hospital in the Chicago | 10 | | area according to Crain's; Edward Hospital is Naperville's | 11 | | largest employer with 4,7000 employees, including 1,350 nurses | 12 | | plus a medical staff of more than 1,000 physicians, with 309 | 13 | | private rooms; Edward Hospital has become a full-service, | 14 | | regional healthcare provider and one of the premier medical | 15 | | facilities in the nation and has earned a reputation as a | 16 | | healthcare leader in the fields of cardiac care, cancer | 17 | | diagnosis and treatment, stroke care, and behavioral health | 18 | | services; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Edward Hospital is one of Thomson Reuters 100 Top | 20 | | Hospitals in the U.S. and is the number one hospital for | 21 | | overall quality in Chicago's west and southwest suburbs and a | 22 | | number one hospital in all key service lines in the region | 23 | | according to 2012 survey by the National Research Corporation; |

| 1 | | it was re-designated as a magnet hospital for nursing | 2 | | excellence in 2010 and is one of only 3 hospitals in DuPage | 3 | | County and the only hospital in Will County with that | 4 | | prestigious status; under Pam Davis's leadership, Edward | 5 | | Hospital was the first one to offer all private patient rooms, | 6 | | the first in Illinois to provide total cardiac care in one | 7 | | location, the first to open a Ronald McDonald Room, and the | 8 | | first to open a medically-based fitness center and a pediatric | 9 | | emergency department at a hospital in DuPage County; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Pam Davis was named the 2012 Citizen of the Year | 11 | | by American Legion Post No. 43, recognized by Crain's Who's Who | 12 | | in Chicago Business 2012, featured as the ABC World News Person | 13 | | of the Week in January 2009, received the Naperville CAPS | 14 | | Public Service Award in 2008, and named the Daily Herald 2005 | 15 | | Naperville Person of the Year; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Pam Davis is a Fellow of the American College of | 17 | | Healthcare Executives and serves on the boards of the Gift of | 18 | | Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network, the DuPage Regional | 19 | | Development Alliance, and Choose Dupage; she is a member of | 20 | | Naperville Responds for Our Veterans, the Naperville | 21 | | Development Partnership, the Illinois Hospital Association | 22 | | Medicaid Task Force, and the Medicaid Reimbursement Task Force; | 23 | | and

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 6 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 7 | | we congratulate Pam Davis on her successful 25 years of guiding | 8 | | Edward Hospital through immense growth and change and wish her | 9 | | the best of luck in the future; and be it further
