| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert R. "Bob" Fuchs of Freemont, who | 4 | | passed away on November 21, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on | 6 | | June 18, 1943 to Gilbert and Mary (nee Purcell) Fuchs; he | 7 | | graduated
from St. Elizabeth High School in Pittsburgh in 1961; | 8 | | and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs and his wife, Jo Ann, moved to Ohio in | 10 | | 1966,
and soon after, he began his banking career; he was a | 11 | | commercial lending officer for Liberty National
Bank/Bank One | 12 | | for 30 years; prior to his retirement, he was a commercial | 13 | | lending officer for the Old
Fort Banking Company; he served as | 14 | | Treasurer for 19 years on the board of the Community Health
| 15 | | Services and also as Secretary/Treasurer with the Sandusky | 16 | | County Agricultural Society for 7
years; throughout his banking | 17 | | career, he served on numerous committees in the community; he | 18 | | served as President of the parish council and as President of | 19 | | St. Ann School
Board; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs enjoyed golfing, sailing, and watching | 21 | | baseball and football, especially the Cleveland Indians and
the | 22 | | Pittsburgh Steelers; he spent his recent years involved with |

| 1 | | greyhound adoption; he was the Treasurer for the North Coast | 2 | | Greyhound Connection for the last 8 years and made a
difference | 3 | | for hundreds of retired racing greyhounds looking for adoptive | 4 | | homes; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs was preceded in death by his parents; | 6 | | his 3 brothers; his 3 sisters; and his canine companions; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jo | 8 | | Ann; his
daughter, Stephanie (Converse W. Keefer, Jr.); his | 9 | | canine companions, Rooney and Ty; and several
nieces and | 10 | | nephews; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Robert R. "Bob" Fuchs, and extend our sincere condolences to | 14 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 15 | | further
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 17 | | presented to the family of Bob Fuchs as an expression of our | 18 | | deepest sympathy.
