| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the passing of Dorothy Honke Mundell, who passed away | 4 | | on August 25, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, She was born September 26, 1924, in Alton to Harry | 6 | | and Lillian (Ibsen) Russell; she married Oliver Honke on | 7 | | January 25, 1946, in Wood River, together, they owned and | 8 | | operated Honke Pharmacy; he preceded her in death; she later | 9 | | married Earl Mundell in January of 1986 and he preceded her in | 10 | | death in 2010; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy earned her nursing degree from Alton | 12 | | Memorial Hospital in 1944; she loved and enjoyed her family, | 13 | | golfing, reading, and volunteering; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Mundell was preceded in death by her | 15 | | husbands; her parents; her son, Dennis Honke; her brothers, | 16 | | Gene Russell and Richard Russell; and her stepdaughter, Ellen | 17 | | Emde; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Mundell is survived by her son, Thomas | 19 | | Honke and daughter-in-law, Jerre; her daughter-in-law, Joni; | 20 | | her stepdaughter, Jane Harris and her husband, Nelson; her | 21 | | stepson, Harold Emde; her grandchildren, Betsy Honke, Alex |
