| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Thomas Wallace Caillouet of Chicago, who | 4 | | passed away on March 13, 2017; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Caillouet was born in Chicago to Louise and | 6 | | Norbert Sr. on January 18, 1946; he attended St. Ambrose | 7 | | Elementary School and De La Salle High School; he married | 8 | | Leonnie (Hardimon) on June 11, 1983; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Caillouet began his banking career with | 10 | | Continental Illinois Bank and also worked with Bank of America; | 11 | | and | 12 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Caillouet became a parishioner at the Faith | 13 | | Community of St. Sabina in 2000 serving as a devoted member of | 14 | | the Marriage and Hospitality Ministries; he joined St. Sabina's | 15 | | Knights of Peter Cleaver 192 as the Sergeant at Arms; and he | 16 | | actively participated at the Chicago Food Depository; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Caillouet loved sports, starting with | 18 | | baseball; he enjoyed watching hockey, basketball, football, | 19 | | and any other sport on television, and he attended Chicago | 20 | | White Sox games; he showed his deep admiration for sports | 21 | | through his collections of sport apparel, and wearing his |

| 1 | | collection of sports caps; he read sports pages from the | 2 | | Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Tribune, and the New York Times; | 3 | | he could be found watching "Pardon the Interruption" and "First | 4 | | Take" on television; he also enjoyed playing chess during his | 5 | | retirement and actively engaging with his peers in creating the | 6 | | Monday Night Football Club; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Caillouet was preceded in death by his | 8 | | parents, Norbert Sr. and Louise; and his siblings, Theresa, | 9 | | Lionel, Claudius, Norbert Jr., Bernard, Edward, and Michael; | 10 | | and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Caillouet is survived by his wife of 33 | 12 | | years, Leonnie; his daughter, Chirskira; his mother-in-law, | 13 | | Lula Newsome; his sisters-in-law, Wyonnie (Michael) Austin, | 14 | | Margaret Bryant, and Emma Wright; his brother, Louis Caillouet; | 15 | | his sisters, Sandra Ali, Mary Dancy, Linda Hunter, and Lesley | 16 | | Amos; his nephew, Jason Raines, and a host of other nephews and | 17 | | nieces, and friends; therefore, be it
