| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Sara J. Walkington of Woodstock, who | 4 | | passed away on March 22, 2017; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Sara Walkington was born in Woodstock to Kenneth | 6 | | and Althea (McLaughlin) Tuttle on December 16, 1924; she | 7 | | married Glenn F. Walkington at Greenwood Methodist Church on | 8 | | July 2, 1944; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Sara Walkington worked for many years as a medical | 10 | | librarian for Woodstock Hospital; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Sara Walkington moved to Green Valley, Arizona | 12 | | after retirement; she enjoyed traveling, golfing, crocheting, | 13 | | playing cards, and doing crossword puzzles; she was an avid | 14 | | reader, and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her | 15 | | loving family, especially her children and grandchildren; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Sara Walkington was preceded in death by her | 17 | | parents; her son, Phillip Walkington; and her sisters, Phyllis | 18 | | Hoekenga and Libby Tiller; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Sara Walkington is survived by her husband, Glenn | 20 | | F. Walkington; her children, Geoffrey (Patricia) Walkington, |

| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Sara J. Walkington, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 10 | | further | 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Sara Walkington as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
