| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Willis "Si" Mason of Lewistown, who | 4 | | passed away on June 25, 2023; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Willis Mason was born to Willis and Helen Mason | 6 | | on February 4, 1937; he graduated from Lewistown High School | 7 | | and spent four years in the U.S. Air Force before returning to | 8 | | live on his family farm; he married Judith Ann "Judy" Cluney in | 9 | | 1963; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Willis Mason worked at Navistar/International | 11 | | Harvester for 40 years, retiring in 2004; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Willis Mason enjoyed farming, beekeeping, going | 13 | | to auctions and backyard sales, watching cowboy movies, | 14 | | playing with his dogs, and visiting with his friends; he was an | 15 | | outgoing, happy person who enjoyed his life fully; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Willis Mason was preceded in death by his parents | 17 | | and his sisters, Betty Brooks and JoAnn Putman; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Willis Mason is survived by his wife of almost 60 | 19 | | years, Judy; his daughters, Helen and Linda Mason; his | 20 | | grandchildren, Sam and Claire Mason; and his twin sister, |
