| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of William Severin O'Sullivan | 4 |
| of Boonville, Indiana, formerly of Evansville, on Saturday, | 5 |
| September 3, 2005; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. O'Sullivan was born in Evansville and was a | 7 |
| 1946 graduate of Reitz Memorial High School; he was an optician | 8 |
| for 61 years and was founder and CEO of Optical Laboratory | 9 |
| Supply Inc., O'SO, Inc., and Eyeglass Factory Outlet in Warrick | 10 |
| County; and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of St. Rupert | 12 |
| Catholic Church in Newburgh, Indiana, at the time of his death; | 13 |
| he was a governor and lifetime member of American Business | 14 |
| Club, an executive board member of the Evansville Petroleum | 15 |
| Club, and a Kentucky Colonel, among his many other charitable | 16 |
| and business activities throughout the years; he also had the | 17 |
| distinction of being a Big Ten umpire for baseball games in | 18 |
| five decades; and
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Mr. O'Sullivan has been deeply felt | 20 |
| by many, especially his wife of 54 years, Pat (Leffler) | 21 |
| O'Sullivan; his daughters, Sheryl O'Sullivan and husband, | 22 |
| James Green, and Stacia O'Sullivan Schofield and husband, | 23 |
| Brett; his son, Scott William "Tagg" O'Sullivan and wife, | 24 |
| Alyce; his sister, Nadine Kolb; and his grandchildren, Collin | 25 |
| Smyser, Whitney Smyser, Theile O'Sullivan, Sean O'Sullivan, | 26 |
| Kirsten Schofield, and Caitlin Schofield; therefore, be it
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | 28 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 29 |
| William Severin O'Sullivan, and we extend our sincere | 30 |
| condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 31 |
| him; and be it further
