| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Eugene Fowler of Moline, who passed away | 4 | | on April 9, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Fowler was born in Kaufman, Texas to Hugh | 6 | | and Sudie (DeMasters) Fowler on March 1, 1935; he served in the | 7 | | United States Army and married Earlene McCallister in Fort | 8 | | Smith, Arkansas on March 19, 1955; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Fowler was a barber at the Esquire Barber | 10 | | Shop in Silvis for 20 years; he was then employed by Moline | 11 | | School District #40 from 1970 to 1987 and the Hickman Mills | 12 | | School District in Kansas City, Missouri until 1993; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Fowler was a devoted husband, father, and | 14 | | grandfather; he had many interests, including gardening, | 15 | | renovating houses, watching his grandchildren play sports, | 16 | | reading, following national politics, and spending time with | 17 | | his family; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Fowler is survived by his wife of 62 years, | 19 | | Earlene; his children, Kathy (Brian) McCaulley, and Dave | 20 | | (Cindy) Fowler; his grandchildren, Grant (Laura) McCaulley, | 21 | | Megan (Rowdy) Frederiksen, Zachary Fowler, Cam Fowler, and |

| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 6 | | Eugene Fowler, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 7 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 8 | | further
