| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Harold Richard Eckerstrom, who passed | 4 | | away on August 7, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Harold Eckerstrom was born on March 4, 1918 to | 6 | | Charles and Lena Eckerstrom in Waukegan; he was a World War II | 7 | | veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater as a Navy Seabee; he | 8 | | married Mildred Bell on December 29, 1956 in Crown Point, | 9 | | Indiana; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Harold Eckerstrom retired from Amco Tool in North | 11 | | Chicago; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Harold Eckerstrom was a member of the American | 13 | | Legion Post 771 in Gurnee and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in | 14 | | Waukegan; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Harold Eckerstrom was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents; his sisters, Mildred Schoenke, Irene Kleinert, | 17 | | Dorothy Piispanen, Gladys Wilson, and Helen Smith; his brother, | 18 | | Melvin Eckerstrom; his nieces, Joyce Proctor and Nancy Godfrey; | 19 | | and his nephews, Melvin Eckerstrom, Jr. and James Kleinert; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Harold Eckerstrom is survived by his daughters, |
