| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Patricia Taylor Smith formerly of | 4 | | McHenry, who passed away on April 4, 2017 at the age of 67; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Smith was born in Youngstown, Ohio to | 6 | | James and Winifred Taylor; she graduated from Liberty High | 7 | | School and attended Youngstown State University; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Smith spent most of her adult life in | 9 | | McHenry; she and her husband owned and operated a local | 10 | | business, Partymakers Catering, and recently retired to | 11 | | Denver, Colorado; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Smith was a loving wife, mother, and | 13 | | grandmother; she was passionate about life and brought joy and | 14 | | laughter to everyone she had the pleasure to meet; she loved | 15 | | cooking, entertaining, traveling, and most of all, spending | 16 | | time with her friends and family; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Smith was preceded in death by her | 18 | | parents; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Smith is survived by her husband, Lloyd; | 20 | | her sons, Bryan (Regina), and Michael (Pascale); her |

| 1 | | granddaughter, Aalia; and her five siblings, Denise, Jimmy, | 2 | | Julian, Maryanne, and Mike; therefore, be it
| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 4 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 5 | | Patricia Taylor Smith, and extend our sincere condolences to | 6 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 7 | | further | 8 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 9 | | presented to the family of Patricia Smith as an expression of | 10 | | our deepest sympathy.
