| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph S. "Joe" Zmuda of East Moline, who | 4 | | passed away on June 15, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda was born to Josef and Helen (Gruszeckza) | 6 | | Zmuda on November 1, 1931; he received his bachelor's degree | 7 | | from St. Ambrose; he served in the United States Army during | 8 | | the Korean Conflict; he married Murrel "Mo" Moller in Rock | 9 | | Island on October 1, 1959; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda was a sales representative for USG and | 11 | | retired as a management consultant for Gypsum Supply, | 12 | | Bettendorf; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda was a committee member of Ducks | 14 | | Unlimited; he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed | 15 | | family trips to the cabin in Bellevue, Iowa; he strongly | 16 | | supported the higher education and success of his | 17 | | grandchildren; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda was preceded in death by his wife, Mo; | 19 | | his infant son, Joseph Zmuda Jr.; his sister, Bernice; and his | 20 | | brothers, Ben and Ed; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda is survived by his children, Steve | 2 | | Zmuda, Mark (Stacy) Zmuda, and Jeff (Jill) Zmuda; his | 3 | | grandchildren, Matthew (Maggie), Kayla, Caleb, Scott, Bethany, | 4 | | Jenna, and Julia; his great-grandson, Carter; his brother, Walt | 5 | | Zmuda; and his sisters-in-law, Jeannine and Adeline; | 6 | | therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Joseph S. "Joe" Zmuda and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Joe Zmuda as an expression of our | 14 | | deepest sympathy.
