| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Deputy Troy P. Chisum of Canton, who was | 4 | | killed in the line of duty while serving the citizens of Fulton | 5 | | County on June 25, 2019; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Phil | 7 | | and Debra (Hebb) Chisum on August 10, 1979; he married Amanda | 8 | | Stoddard in Canton on April 17, 1999; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum was a deputy with the Fulton County | 10 | | Sheriff's Office; he also worked as a paramedic with the Fulton | 11 | | County Emergency Management Agency and as a firefighter with | 12 | | Northern Tazewell County; he previously worked for the | 13 | | Lewistown Police Department; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum was a member of the West Central | 15 | | Special Response Team and the ILEAS WMD/SRT team, Region 6; he | 16 | | enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, going to the shooting | 17 | | range, playing on the alumni football team, and any activities | 18 | | with his wife and daughters; he was his daughters' number one | 19 | | fan and always inspired them to follow their dreams; he | 20 | | dedicated his life to the service of his community; and

| 3 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum is survived by his wife, Amanda; his | 4 | | daughters, Kyleigh (Andy DeLost) Chisum, Abigail Chisum, and | 5 | | Gracie Chisum; his father, Phil Chisum; his mother and | 6 | | stepfather, Debra (Mike) Wheeler; his father-in-law and | 7 | | mother-in-law, Walt (Kathy) Thomas; his sister, Krysta Dilts; | 8 | | his stepbrother, Zach Wheeler; his stepsister, Cher (Matt) | 9 | | Valdez; his maternal grandparents, Lyle and Betty Hebb; and | 10 | | several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Deputy Troy P. Chisum and extend our sincere condolences to his | 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 15 | | further
