| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of
William Charles Burnside of Danville, who | 4 | | passed away on January 27, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Burnside was born on October 23, 1936, in | 6 | | Grandview; he was the son of William Darrell and Juanita | 7 | | (Greason) Burside; he married Lola Fern Shoeheart on October | 8 | | 10, 1976; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, William Burnside was president and founder of the | 10 | | William C. Burnside and Company Inc. for 39 years; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, William Burnside was fondly referred to as "Hot | 12 | | Wheels" Burnside, because of his love of automobile racing; he | 13 | | was actively involved in the Eastern Illinois University | 14 | | Foundation, Danville Area Community College Scholarship | 15 | | Foundation, Danville Rescue Mission, Fellowship of Christian | 16 | | Athletes, American Heart Association, and American Cancer | 17 | | Society; he also was an active member of the Danville Alliance | 18 | | Church and was involved in numerous Bible study groups; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, William Burnside was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents and his daughter, Belinda Giovinco; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, William Burnside is survived by his wife, Lola; | 2 | | his children, William (Michelle) Burnside, Tyler Burnside, | 3 | | Scott (Mary) Trovillion, and Mitzi Benard; his 12 | 4 | | grandchildren; his 2 great-grandchildren; and his brother, | 5 | | Thomas (Ruth) Burnside; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 8 | | his family and friends, the passing of William Charles | 9 | | Burnside; and be it further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of William Burnside as an expression of | 12 | | our sympathy.
