| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William T. "Bill" Eichen of Carlinville, | 4 | | who passed away on April 15, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Eichen was born in Carlinville on May 4, 1928 | 6 | | to William Christopher and Bessie Mae (nee Greenwalt) Eichen; | 7 | | he attended Carlinville schools and later married Mary E. "Pud" | 8 | | Rhoads on July 25, 1948 in Plainview; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bill Eichen was a supervisor in the mold | 10 | | department at Owens Illinois in Alton from 1950 to 1989; he | 11 | | then worked for the Bates Motor Company in Carlinville from | 12 | | 1989 to 2008; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bill Eichen was a member of the Plainview Masonic | 14 | | Lodge, Plainview Eastern Star, and the Carlinville Moose Lodge | 15 | | #1216; he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved | 16 | | spending time with his family and grandchildren; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bill Eichen was preceded in death by his wife, | 18 | | Mary; his parents; his grandson, Gary Kanllakan; his brothers, | 19 | | Raymond and Wesley Eugene Eichen; his sisters, Pauline | 20 | | Rosentreter and Mary Rose Graham; and his son-in-law, John | 21 | | Gentry; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bill Eichen is survived by his 2 daughters, Janet | 2 | | (Ken) Harding and Marsha Gentry; his granddaughter, Shelley | 3 | | Ashlock; his 2 grandsons, Greg (Wendy) Kanllakan and Brad | 4 | | (Nicole) Stults; his 6 great-granddaughters; his sister, | 5 | | Dorothy "Mae" Bristow; his brother-in-law, Don (Judy) Rhoads; | 6 | | as well as several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | William T. "Bill" Eichen, and extend our sincere condolences to | 10 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
