| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William F. Drennan of Gurnee, who passed | 4 | | away on June 14, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Drennan was born in Oak Park to John and | 6 | | Ella Drennan on June 7, 1930; he graduated from Fenwick High | 7 | | School and Loras College; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, William Drennan spent his career in accounting and | 9 | | finance; he served as treasurer of DBA Products in Lake Bluff | 10 | | for over 20 years; he was treasurer for the Village of | 11 | | Wadsworth for 12 years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, William Drennan was a parishioner of St. Patrick's | 13 | | Church in Wadsworth for 54 years, where he served as a member | 14 | | of the first Parish council, as a member of the school board, | 15 | | and, for over 40 years, as an usher; he served on the board for | 16 | | Chicago Studies for many years; he volunteered on the Police | 17 | | Pension Board of Gurnee; he enjoyed his time as treasurer for | 18 | | Little League baseball in Gurnee; he was an avid golfer and a | 19 | | great gin rummy player; he was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and | 20 | | Notre Dame football; he was a devoted husband, father, and | 21 | | grandfather; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, William Drennan was preceded in death by his | 2 | | parents and his brother, John "Jack" Drennan; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, William Drennan is survived by his wife of 61 | 4 | | years, Helen; his children, William (Ann) Drennan, Eileen | 5 | | (Jeff) Kregor, John (Cheryl) Drennan, Terry (Anne) Drennan, | 6 | | Patrick (Marilyn) Drennan, and Peggy (Michael) Meagher; his | 7 | | grandchildren, Maggie (Eric Barrowclaugh), Charlie (Ellie), | 8 | | Michael, Katie (Jake Senesac), Sean, Alex, Josh, Chris, Luke, | 9 | | Zach, Frankie, and Jake; and his great-granddaughter, Amelia; | 10 | | therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | William F. Drennan and extend our sincere condolences to his | 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 15 | | further
