| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Wallace P. Silverthorn of McHenry, who | 4 | | passed away on May 23, 2017; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Wallace Silverthorn was born in Niagara, New York | 6 | | to Wallace E. and Pearl (Golds) Silverthorn on January 4, 1929; | 7 | | he served in the United States Navy for six years and married | 8 | | Virginia Mielezarek in Chicago on November 25, 1950; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Wallace Silverthorn was employed as an engineer | 10 | | for Kux Machines in Des Plaines; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Wallace Silverthorn was a loving father, grandpa, | 12 | | and great-grandpa; he was a jack of all trades, particularly at | 13 | | maintaining his yard and dabbling in mechanics; he also enjoyed | 14 | | bowling, fishing, and golf; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Wallace Silverthorn was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents; his wife, Virginia; his son, Gerald Beran; and his | 17 | | daughter, Cynthia Karr; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Wallace Silverthorn is survived by his children, | 19 | | Dennis (Nancy) Beran, Sandy (Gary) Sibilsky, and Sharon (Luis) | 20 | | Rivera; his 12 grandchildren; and his 15 great-grandchildren; |

| 2 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 3 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 4 | | Wallace P. Silverthorn, and extend our sincere condolences to | 5 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 6 | | further | 7 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 8 | | presented to the family of Wallace Silverthorn as an expression | 9 | | of our deepest sympathy.
