| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Kenneth J. Steinlein of McHenry, who | 4 | | passed away on September 27, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein was born on October 26, 1929 in | 6 | | Chicago; his parents were Jacob Joseph Steinlein and Rose Helen | 7 | | Hewelt; he married Marian L. Alford on August 2, 1980; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein was a proud graduate of Lane | 9 | | Technical College Preparatory High School in Chicago; he served | 10 | | in the United States Army during the Korean War and later | 11 | | served in the United States Army Reserve; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, After retiring from a career in insurance in 1985, | 13 | | Kenneth Steinlein volunteered for the Retired and Senior | 14 | | Volunteer Program in McHenry County; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein enjoyed flying, reading, | 16 | | traveling, woodworking, and gardening; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein was preceded in death by his | 18 | | parents; his brother, Vincent; and his sisters, Dolores and | 19 | | Marge; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein is survived by his wife; his | 2 | | children, Gary Steinlein, Keith Steinlein, David Steinlein, | 3 | | Wayne (Ayne) Steinlein, Craig Steinlein, Kathryn Loitz, Nancy | 4 | | (Joe) Nelson, Kathleen Alford, Karen Alford, and Murray | 5 | | (Brenda) Alford; his grandchildren, Christofer, Jennifer, | 6 | | Carrie, Candice, Jason, Samantha, Stephanie, Jordan, and | 7 | | Isaac; and his great-grandchildren, Charlee, Grace, Elena, | 8 | | Castle, Jamie, and Jackson; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 11 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth J. Steinlein; | 12 | | and be it further
