| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Richard A. Schulmeister of Milan, who | 4 | | passed away on August 8, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister was born in Rock Island to | 6 | | Gustav and Lucille Nares Schulmeister on November 10, 1951; he | 7 | | graduated from Rock Island High School and later attended St. | 8 | | Ambrose University; he married Nancy J. Berndt in Moline on | 9 | | April 20, 1974; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister was a veteran of the United | 11 | | States Navy; he retired from John Deere Plow Planter; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister was a member of St. Ambrose | 13 | | Catholic Church in Milan; he enjoyed fishing, camping, | 14 | | traveling, and the "Salt Life"; his favorite times were those | 15 | | spent with friends and family, especially his grandchildren, | 16 | | whom he adored; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister was preceded in death by his | 18 | | father; his mother; and his stepmother, Elsie Schulmeister; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister is survived by his wife | 20 | | Nancy; his daughter, Carrie (Chad) Ware; his son, Brent |

| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Richard A. Schulmeister and extend our sincere condolences to | 10 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
