| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Francescio "Frank" M. Ramirez of | 4 | | Moline, who passed away on November 6, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez was born to Florencio and Emelia | 6 | | (Robles) Ramirez in Moline on October 4, 1928; he married | 7 | | Elvira "Vera" Cervantes in Moline on February 2, 1952; he | 8 | | served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received the | 9 | | Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, and the National | 10 | | Defense Medal; he was also a Golden Gloves boxer; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez worked for John Deere Harvester, | 12 | | East Moline and Rock Island Packaging; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez was a member of the Friends Circle | 14 | | Club, the Svithoid Club, and the former Turner's Club, Moline; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez enjoyed playing picks, golfing, and | 17 | | bowling; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez was preceded in death by his wife; | 19 | | his grandson, Steven McKean; his sisters, Jenny Bustos, Mary | 20 | | Solis, Helen Mosqueda, and Vera Ramirez; and his brothers, |
